🚧 Drury Station is not yet open. The station is scheduled to open in late 2026 as part of the Southern Line extension. Drury is one of Auckland's fastest-growing communities — a major new retail centre and thousands of new homes are planned for the area. Bus interchange services are also coming soon.

Drury is a fast-growing town south of Papakura, set to transform significantly over the next decade. The new train station will serve the established Drury village on Great South Road as well as the emerging Auranga community to the west — a large new development centred around waterfront walkways along the Drury Creek and Hingaia Stream. New homes are also coming soon to Waihoehoe Road. A major new retail centre is planned for the area around the station, which will make Drury a significant destination in South Auckland. In the meantime, the existing Drury township has a handful of excellent cafes and restaurants well worth visiting.

Walking & Cycling

Auranga's waterfront paths are among the best new walking and cycling infrastructure in South Auckland — peaceful, flat and well-formed.

Auranga Waterfront Paths

A network of well-formed shared walking and cycling paths running through the Auranga development — following the banks of the Drury Creek and Hingaia Stream through native plantings, wetlands and open parkland. The paths are flat, well-surfaced and suitable for all ages and abilities including prams, scooters and bikes. A peaceful escape from the busier roads, with water views and native birdlife throughout. MADE Café (183 Bremner Rd) sits right alongside the paths — a lovely stop for coffee, brunch or a bite to eat while exploring. Note: access to the Auranga area is currently more complex than usual due to the Bremner Road overbridge reconstruction — check for diversions before visiting. Free, open 24 hours.

Park & Ride

🅿 350 free park and ride spaces will be available at Drury Station when it opens in late 2026. The station is easily accessible off SH1, approximately 1.5km from the Drury motorway off-ramp.
