Hibiscus Coast is the northernmost station served by Northern Express services. They run on the motorway between Albany and Hibiscus Coast Station, before joining the busway for a quick journey into the city. The station is located in Silverdale — officially opened in February 2021 after starting life as a simple park and ride — and is the gateway to the wider Hibiscus Coast, with connecting bus services reaching Orewa, Whangaparāoa Peninsula, Gulf Harbour, Manly, Waiwera and even Warkworth.

A near-perfect-rated café in a literal shipping container — "who knew a shipping container could make such great coffee?" Smooth, beautifully made espresso, hot chocolate served with a chocolate fish AND a marshmallow, and a blueberry sour cream muffin that "completely changed my mind about muffins." Warm, genuinely welcoming staff. "You come for the coffee and then realise you'll be coming back." Opens at 5am on weekdays — perfect for early commuters.

"Has got to have one of the best arrays of baked goods and coffee in Auckland." Matcha croissants, cinnamon buns, milk donuts, kumara buns, pineapple buns and an outstanding steak pie with flaky pastry and creamy filling. A Joe's Garage with serious personality — "the Gorgeous George breakfast is the standout." JFC chicken, venison burger, Joe's Caesar salad and great pizza options. Family-friendly with lime milkshakes for the kids, Lion Red on tap and a big table-service dinner menu until 9pm. "Love the food, delicious and the atmosphere feels comfortable." Dog water bowl, good wifi and parking available. The kind of place you plan to stop briefly and end up staying much longer.

A large, well-loved community park on the Hibiscus Coast Highway — multiple sports fields, a good playground for kids, public toilets and plenty of green space. 🅿 Hibiscus Coast Station has a large free park and ride — originally the station's sole purpose before it was upgraded to a full busway station in February 2021. It's the natural starting point for commuters from across the wider Hibiscus Coast, Whangaparāoa Peninsula and as far north as Warkworth and Wellsford, who can drive in, park, and take the bus the rest of the way into the city.
